OMG is that really my Yamato model? =D That's a wicked rendering, I love the extra detail in the armor, and the environment too!

I'm pleased that other fans are enjoying her so much!

Very nice image Archangel, very very nice! =D

You're very welcome archangel, as said I'm glad everyone is enjoying my "for the fans" model of the Yamato. =D

Truth is, Yamato had handrails and ladders on her deck long before the recent live-action or new beginning anime. For sake of quick production work while under Leiji Matsumoto's guidance, many of the scenes show Yamato without the extra details that would slow down drawing unnecessarily. You would find hand railing and steps on any Bandai plastic model, either the early kits from the 80's to todays prints of Classic Yamato, or the new beginning anime, or live action movie. ^ ^

Just saw the movie today (with subtitles). I've been behind with my Japanese Sci Fi. Pretty cool!
Good job Terry.

Thanx. Not 100% happy with the texturing and have been working on that ever since I converted the sketchup file. I have about 24 wip's and counting...lol.

The geometry is the most accurate I have seen. The prob is with my surfacing. I like the bumpmaps, just they aren't that high rez. Working with some different AND home made bumps tonight. Practice for another model I have been working on for a vid project.
