A friend said I should use ships not seen very often, so here it is.

The Akria class U.S.S. ARCHANGEL comes in to dock at Starbase 98.

Glad to see you've found a pretty sweet model of your titular ship. Looks a bit chunky though. ;)

And I love the Excalibur design, as well as the upgraded Sabre. :D

It's decent enough for med to long range shots, unfortunately the best akira's out there are incompatible with lightwave or blender. Oh well one makes do.

I love the Excalibur for two reasons; the overall shape, but especially the green slipstream drive nacelle grids...

That's why I recolored them blue. [link] :p Whoever thought of making it green due to its transwarp feature never appealed to me as well.

Anyway, whatever happened to this earlier mesh? [link]

Ahh yes the CMOD. That file is exclusive to Celestia, and I don't think it can be converted to anything else...well I am sure there is a way but it's beyond my and Google's knowledge how.

Always wanted to use some of these. I am actually taking my first step toward modeling. I am converting M Tarling's Omega to an Omega X, Using his Lightwave mesh as the base and his 3ds Omega x from Celestia. Converting it in Blender to an object file and texturing in Lightwave. Sure it's kitbashing, but its all from Matts work. If it is worth a damn I am going to contact him and see if I can release it on F3d.
