This is a redux of my previous image using the suggestions generated by that piece. On the ships I upped the reflectivity to about 65, and gave the skin about 15% translucency, to make the skin more skin like. I also shifted the Hue of the background to make it appear more green, and reduced the resolution to hide some minor imperfections. Thanx for looking!

BTW THIS IS 1000 DEVIATIONS

Always welcome Terry, you should know that. Its good to see folks trying new things and not grinding out the same stuff week in week out like some members I could mention. Think you'll find this technique good if you ever do a pic of ships skimming hydrogen from gas giants or sargasso sea effects underwater.

Colorwise that's definitely better. Since people are complaining about the models, maybe a grain over the image could solve that (like a movie/TV grain), dunno.

Gee, we're making you work overtime here I think... :O_o:

I wouldn't say complaining, the imperfections I noticed myself. But I don't mind about trying different things artistically, It's how I learn.

I couldn't agree more! Learning is what keeps it exciting.

Looks nice now :) On your previous pic I was going to suggest adding motion blur to make it more realistic but there is no need now as the background itself is one.

And congrats in having a 100 deviations :D
