The good news...I am once again living in the 20th century...I have electricity and everything is getting back to normal.

Normal defined as waiting for the other shoe to drop...as it did, about 6 hours on the very day that I got my lights back on my computer froze up.  I did the three finger salute (ctrl-alt-del), and nothing.  Did the unimaginable and turned it off.  And it hasn't come back up since.  The hd has fried.  The 2 year old Tower of Power that did most of my work is dead.  I still have Lightwave and blender, but all of the rest of my progs are gone.  (Some retrievable, but not very workable on my laptop) All of the model archives (mostly freeware and retrievable at some point, as I have yet to get cable and internet back) Work archives (other than what is here on dA and f3d, and all my archives are gone the way of the dodo)  I still have my laptop, (which is 3 years older than the home system) but it doesn't have near the memory (even though it is faster).  I am still doing what I can when I can, but can't a guy catch a break?!?!?!?!?!?  I mean, REALLY!

Irony; I just did spring cleaning on my laptop before the power was cut and had yet to back up from the Tower...eeeesh!!!

The good news, I have lost 80 lbs since November.  I was around 380# and last time I weighed at the Dr's office I weighed 303#.

Life IS what happens to you while you are making other plans....
